Subterranean Homesick Blues

So yesterday, I forgot to mention that right around 12:45, I got a message from Mel's mom.  She had already finished my book and she loved it!  We had a good laugh that she had powered through my novel before we'd even reached out destination.

After a slow start and a quick trip to Wally World, we headed over to Dave's for a day of hanging out and chilling.  It's nice to have a day with little driving and some good company.

His garden has taken over the entire backyard and looks like a bee's paradise.

Minerva was not happy to be kept in the kitchen, but Penny the rather rotund feline seemed to appreciate it.

After a dinner at SeVen with Chris and Dave (the Thai place we first went to was closed for the 4th), Yeu-Fann and I headed down the road to Grayville... a stop about two hours away.
