So Baltimore to Pittsburgh… trying to remember the drive. I think we went off the route a bit on our crazy quilting excursion.

We did pop back on for a very tasty stop at Mr. Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium. We all got a large Chinese take out to fill with whatever candy we wanted. Still have at least half left. They were quite handy to have to snack on.
If Philly don’t care, then Pittsburgh has evil wishes. The roads were torn up, and not only that- the right turn lane was actually the through lane, then turned into a parking lane into the other side of the intersection., Once I got the rhythm of it, I was fine but those first few miles… OMG.
We showed up at our hotel and found it had been cancelled on us, something to do with a dog mix up. Yeu-Fann sweet talked him into letting us stay. It was a 4 story (no elevator) apartment with an air unit that knocked loudly. We had just enough time to settle Minerva and head to the evening event – which we held in the same locale that we had lunch at 2 years ago. Waze, of course, found us the fastest route there, which included several dodgy side streets and back again, which took us over the same river three times.
We we realized the Rise & Shine was outside the city, we kicked ourselves for not looking into other lodgings.
The food was sloppy joe style meat. The chicken was nearly mush but the potato chips were good. Found out Yeu-Fann likes ½ & ½ lemonade ice tea. Also found the veggie table after finishing eating. Yeu-Fann and I tried a little too subtly to sell my book. We are definitely not sales people.
